One of my favorite breakfast dishes is homemade oatmeal. I LOVE a warm, hearty bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Our friend Ellen Johnson is sharing with us her recipe for Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal. Nothing not to love about that!?
Ingredients
- 3 cup almond milk or regular milk
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2-2 cups old fashioned oats
- Pure or regular maple syrup
- Fresh fruit of choice
Instructions
- In a sauce pan, bring the almond milk to a low boil. Add the cinnamon, salt and boil. Stir in the oats and continue to stir, turning the heat to low heat for 3-5 minutes. Once the oatmeal is thick and tender, remove from the heat and drizzle with pure maple syrup and fresh fruit of choice.
