Add the butter into a mixing bowl and with an electric mixer whip the butter until smooth. Add the caramel ice cream topping, salt, vanilla and heavy whipping cream. Add the powdered sugar a little at a time until it's combined and the frosting is light and fluffy. If you need the frosting a little softer add a little more whipping cream. Whip until fluffy. Serve this frosting over your favorite cupcakes, cookies or snacks.
