Christmas Cranberry Orange Waffles

By December 10, 2011No Comments

Wow! Where has the week gone? It must be December or something? I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful Christmas season. I think I am finally finished up with my shopping and hope to sit back and relax a little before the month is over. I have been spending plenty of time in the kitchen and have been enjoying cooking and baking, making homemade toffee, sugar cookies and several batches of my new favorite peppermint chocolate cookies. The last few weeks my favorite ingredient in my kitchen has been fresh oranges. Here in Utah we have an awesome grocery store called Rancho Market that often has oranges on sale for 5 lbs. for a $1–awesome! The next few days I will be sharing with you a few of my favorite holiday recipes that call for fresh, juicy oranges.

These Cranberry Orange Waffles are probably the best waffles I have EVER had. The cranberry butter syrup on top you could drink with a spoon! I love the combination of sweet and sour and the citrus flavors are incredible. Not only are these waffles delicious but they are also so pretty and festive. These waffles would be perfect for a special Christmas morning breakfast 😉
