We have been having SO much fun in our cooking classes this month and this festive Christmas Wreath was a hit with the kids. They had so much fun decorating the ‘wreath’, choosing their toppings and spreading the delicious seasoned ranch spread on for extra flavor. If you need a savory appetizer this holiday season, this wreath would be a delicious option.
Ingredients
- 2 tubes refrigerator roll or crescent dough
- Cherry tomatoes
- Broccoli
- Cucumbers
- Red bell pepper or other colors
- Diced Ham
- 1/4 cup Ranch dressing
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Shape the refrigerator dough into a round circle with the center portion staying open and place on the cookie sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees until golden brown. While it’s baking for 8-10 minutes, cream together some cream cheese and ranch dressing. You can season this with extra garlic powder, garlic and salt if desired. When the bread is finished cooking, remove from the oven and spread with the cream cheese mixture once it's cooked for a few minutes.
- Chop the vegetables (and ham) and put on top of the bread and cream cheese mixture. Cut a red bell pepper to look like a bow and decorate. Cut into slices and serve when ready.
