What could be better on a hot, summer day than a frozen hot chocolate? We’ve all seen those romantic movies where a couple are sipping frozen hot chocolate at Serendipities in New York. It just looks so fun! One day I will go there. Funny enough my sister was in New York a few weeks ago and they tried to get into Serendipities several times and they were booked solid. They weren’t even taking reservations. Crazy! Have any of you been there? Until my dreams come true and I’m actually there, I have to be satisfied with making them from home. And I must say, they are not a disappointment! This frothy, cold, chocolatey, creamy perfection is completely refreshing anytime of year..but especially in mid July 🙂 If you are looking for a slightly healthier version of this creation, our Homemade Frosty’s are also a favorite. My kids make these at least weekly and you don’t have to have cream or chocolate chips. I make up a batch of the frosty’s for the kids and then this frozen hot chocolate for me (okay..and maybe my husband) 😉 A Mom deserves a little something special to herself every now and then, right?
