Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

By April 7, 2016February 28th, 2022No Comments

I’m not sure there is anything better in a dessert than chocolate and peanut butter together. My husband and kids would agree anyway (caramel is a close runner up though 😉 The other day I wanted to make a new cookie recipe that would incorporate these two favorite ingredients and let me tell you–these were amazing! These cookies are so chewy, so soft, and yet crunchy on the outside. They are the perfect combination of everything you want in a good cookie. Just when I thought I had made about every kind of cookie there could be, this recipe added a new, fun twist on a traditional recipe. I hope you enjoy 🙂

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup crunchy or creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 Tbs. honey
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 Tbs. sour cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4-3 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, with an electric mixer, whisk together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and honey until smooth and creamy. While mixing add the remaining ingredients to the dough, chocolate chips at the last. The dough will be slightly sticky, but add enough flour to help the cookie dough come together so you can spoon it onto a cookie sheet. Spray a cookie sheet. Place golf ball size cookie dough onto the cookie sheet. Bake the cookies for 9-12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
