Crusted Cinnamon French Toast

By October 2, 2016No Comments

What a fun weekend we had with our bake sale. This week I kind of feel like ‘what next?’ after such a productive and fun week. I do have to admit though that I am ready for some easy meals this week and a little less time in the kitchen after all of our baking. The other night when I was too tired to cook, I decided to make some french toast for dinner. I wanted to make them a little extra special and I happened to have some Honey Bunches of Oats my kids weren’t eating. I decided to add a cereal crust to our french toast and the outcome was so fun I wanted to share them with you. This recipe is basic, but takes your traditional french toast method, into something special. Serve these crunchy, sweet french toast with some fresh fruit, orange juice, and bacon (yes, all are on sale this week) and you have a meal MUCH less than $10 for a family of 7. Not to mention a 30 minute meal too, which is a win-win. Hope you enjoy!
