This is one of those recipes that may seam strange at first, but I promise they are delicious. I love poached pears and I have made them several times using traditional methods in the oven and they turn out great. I decided I wanted to find a simple way to make them that required less effort and less time and the steamer was the perfect solution. My kids love dessert and I am trying to not have carb rich and sugary desserts every night so I have been coming up with ways to give them a sweet treat that is more on the healthy side and includes a serving of fruit.
