Basic Chocolate Chip Cookies

By August 4, 2010No Comments

I have been on the hunt for the last several years for my all-time-favorite-chewiest-softest-delicious chocolate chip cookie recipe. Thanks to my sweet Aunt Kath, I think I have found it! She had dreams of becoming the next Mrs. Fields with this recipe, but I am sure she will let me share it with you. Something about this recipe makes these cookies turn out every time and they have the perfect texture and taste. This is also a great basic dough recipe that you can play around with and make adjustments to. We love to add craisins and white chocolate chips to the dough, or make a heath chip and butterscotch cookie, or a peanut butter supreme cookie (shown) that are to die for! Just replace a 1/2 c. of the butter (1 stick) with a 1/2 c. of peanut butter and then add peanut butter chocolate chips or Peanut M&M’s. YUM!

How to make them you ask? Just bake a homemade cookie and put it on the bottom of a plate or bowl. Put vanilla (or any flavor) ice cream on top and drizzle with caramel, hot fudge, and any other toppings you would like 🙂
