  • 1 pound pasta shape of choice
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1/2 lb. link spicy sausage
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 24 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tablespoon beef boullion paste
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese fresh grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

  • Cook pasta according to package directions to al dente. Toss with oil and spoon into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Slice the link sausage into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  • Cook ground beef and sausage with the onion and garlic in a skillet until no longer pink, usually 5 to 6 minutes. Add the sliced sausage to the mixture and continue to cook until golden brown. Drain excess grease and return to skillet.
  • Add spaghetti sauce, beef bouillon paste and tomato paste to the meat mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in salt and pepper and Italian seasoning.
  • Top the noodles in the pan with the beef mixture.
  • Sprinkle with the parmesan and mozzarella.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly. Garnish with parsley, basil or green onions
