Caramelized Butternut Squash

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Thrive Live Butternut Squash
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 Tbs. Butter or olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. Brown sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • Dash of black pepper

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add the butternut squash and water. Let rest for 8-10 minutes, or until tender.
  • Heat a sauté pan to high heat. Add the olive oil or butter. Sprinkle the brown sugar on the bottom of the pan. Add the squash to the pan and let cook for a minute or two. Saute the squash until golden brown on the bottom of the squash. Cook until the sugar caramelizes on the squash. Serve warm.
